Q. I need SSL (Secure Certificate). How do I get one? A. First you or your client needs a Unique IP Address which will cost you $39.99 CAD ($30.99 USD) per year. You can buy the SSL from us and we will put it on your client's account. After that, all he/she needs a Secure Certificate. There are many secure certificate providers around. One of the most affordable ones is Instant SSL but we recommend you look around in search engines for secure certificates to get a feeling for what is available and you know your options. We or you can also contact them and purchase a secure certificate from this site.
Before we order the Secure Certifcate we need to create a CSR key to provide to the InstantSSL or Secure Certificate seller at time of purchase. After purchase InstantSSL or the Secure Certificate seller will provide a Secure Key to us and then we can install it on the account requesting SSL. Then anyone can access the site using https://. Please Note: there is different between SSL for domain.com and www.domain.com. For better service and support we can create a subdomain (i.e. http:// subdomain.yourdomain.com ) for the user and order the SSL for that subdomain. Usually "secure" is the best option. So the secure site will be https://secure.yourdomain.com.

Q. What is a "Domain Name"? A. A "URL", "Internet Domain Name", Server Address or "Web Address" is your unique identity address on the Internet. A domain name takes the form of a string of characters, followed by a period or "dot" and then by another string of characters, usually com, net, ca, us, or org. The last set of characters is referred to as the Top Level Domain, or "TLD". Your domain name is referred to technically as a Second Level Domain, or "SLD". Some commonly known domain names are msn.com and canada.com.
Q. What is a "Parked Domain"? A. A parked domain is a registered domain that can be configured to show the same web site. Email can also be configured for parked domains even if your web site is not active. If you register a domain name before you have an active web site, you must "park" your domain in order to utilize domain forwarding or the associated domain name email accounts. Keller Internet Marketing can register, set-up your email hosting, and automatically "park" all domain names on your behalf.
Q. What is an "Addon Domain"? A. An addon domain can be hosted under the same account / primary domain name. It can be configured as a sub-domain to your primary domain name. Keller Internet Marketing offers free sub-domains on all web hosting packages.
Q. What is the difference between a Parked Domain and Addon Domain? A. An addon domain can be used as a secondary (sub) domain and have files associated with it and a parked domain can only be used to redirect to a primary domain name. A parked domain cannot host active web site files - only email hosting can be configured for parked domains.
